I’m not sure how many people really look at the future with open eyes. Probably most of us hardly dare to do that. We are afraid of what we might see.
When I look ahead I see two roads that are already diverging. They take you in totally different directions. The weird thing is that they start off with the same signpost which is pointing towards health and longevity.
If you take the turning to the right you start your journey by taking a lot of supplements and superfoods and you keep very fit. You are pretty aggressive about health and wellbeing. You read a lot about longevity and there are so many different things you could try out. It’s not easy to decide which to try.
One of these days you will have your DNA tested and find out which genes are most likely to cause you trouble. You are waiting for gene therapy to develop far enough so you can start to manipulate your genes and remove genetic diseases from your system. You are a little afraid of getting sick before the therapies are ready but yo do your best to stay as healthy as possible and keep yourself looking good – this may require the use of some surgery and other more radical interventions.
The dream ahead of you is nanotechnology. You are not sure when it will be ready and it is a bit scary to imagine all those little bots coursing through your bloodstream controlling your emotions, your health and no doubt some other aspects of your body too. You try not to imagine what would happen if they get out of control and you do not dare to ask yourself who is designing the bots. What would happen if the design was no good? Or if the scientist who creates them has a different idea of health from you.
But let’s not look at these questions – let’s look at the extraordinary potential. You know already that negative emotions cause aging – and the bots will be able to make you feel happy all the time. You know that as long as you can keep yourself alive that long they will heal all your diseases and prevent the diseases you didn’t get yet.
Of course there is a lot more they will do – we are hardly aware of that yet, but it is promising.
This is a waiting game. Waiting for new research. Waiting for new technologies. And watching your skin as it continues to age…

What a strange world!
I interviewed two people today about their recent experience of an E Rejuvenation programme. Both work in large companies (I can’t give the names of the companies at this stage) with high levels of pressure, high expectations of performance and highly committed staff. Both are involved to some extent in selling.
At first I just listened to the two clients talking about the benefits they got from the programme. This was hardly surprising. They talked about being able to focus better, prioritize their work clearly, be more positive around their colleagues and achieve financial targets that they had previously expected to fail on. And of course they talked about being less stressed and being able to handle significant levels of pressure much better than usual. This was, of course, very satisfying for me to listen to, since I had been leading their programmes, but it started me looking at the bigger picture behind their personal stories.
Every company I speak to these days is showing me the same story. Their people are working under more pressure than at almost any time before. Dedicated staff are working extraordinarily long hours, sacrificing personal lives, at risk of sacrificing their health and often dealing with massive change in their companies on top of everything else.
It seems to me that these people are so valuable to their companies that their employers should be thanking them on a daily basis for handling impossible demands and keeping their organizations alive and kicking. They are truly unsung heroes of our modern economy – the sales people and their support teams that constantly bring in revenue to feed a never ending need for productivity and profit.
It is obviously satisfying to make sales and be rewarded by commissions, but there is a lot more to life than cash. I listened to a woman who just managed to save her relationship before it crashed through lack of quality time – caused by working long hours and not having the energy to focus on the relationship at the same time. She loves her job and is totally committed to her company, but she wants to have a personal relationship too!
I have no problem with pressure and believe it is good for people to have demanding targets and to be challenged at work. But I do not believe that people should be sacrificing their health and happiness as a result. And it is not necessary.
If employers understood more about energy they would see that it is critical to support their employees’ energy at all times. They would invest in their people’s energy above all else – knowing that the return would be incalculable. It is not only a question of increased productivity, but the buzz of a happy, inspired workforce; the long term benefit of healthy staff who do not waste time with colds, flu, digestion problems and all the other ailments that slow people down on a daily basis; the time saved by work relationships that are free of conflict and misunderstanding; and the satisfaction of supporting people to have enough energy for work and personal life.
It sounds idealistic, but this is not difficult to achieve. I have seen people experience all of these benefits in the last week. Five people have arrived in my E Rejuvenation sessions with colds in the last fortnight and gone out of the session transformed. They had never realized before that a cold can disappear in less than an hour!
It is hard to overestimate the value of healthy, happy people – especially to a company. For sure, with a bit of solid research the value can be counted in cash, but far more important is the value in terms of quality of life. In the end most of us work in order to develop our quality of life in some way, but we often feel we work to make the money to be able to buy quality.
Imagine a world where true quality – health and happiness – is integrated into our daily experience by working in organizations that value, support and invest in the energy of their people. This vision need not be far away. Significant change could be achieved within a few weeks from now by the company that would be brave enough to set up a simple programme of in-house E Rejuvenation sessions for its key staff. That’s all it takes to get going.

Last week I found myself on a treadmill with 10 electrodes attached to my chest and a tube for breathing in my mouth. There were two computers beside me constantly monitoring my heart beat and breathing. The aim was to test my heart for potential health problems, so the treadmill became progressively faster and steeper and I was under instructions to keep going as long as I could – or until I became exhausted.
I thought I was doing pretty well considering that I haven’t had a chance to walk up many mountains in the last year. After 15 minutes there was a beep and the machine instantly slowed down. The test was over. I was told that the machine had stopped because my heart had reached its maximum capacity. I was described as ‘very determined’ but with only an ‘average level of fitness’.
A set of other tests followed, including body fat measurements, cholesterol, glucose in the blood as well as questions about my lifestyle and I was given a folder at the end which summarized my health risks. I was told that my risk of heart disease was 2%, which is very low, and all my other readings were also very healthy.
I have never liked to be average in anything, so I wasn’t very happy to find that I was only an average level of fitness. Whilst I don’t expect to be super fit it led me to question my lifestyle and I notice that since then I take every opportunity to run, exercise more actively and yesterday I started to ride my bike again. But the interesting question that arose was about the difference between fitness and health.
A few days later I saw someone sitting in the lobby at E Rejuvenation Centre. I was surprised how much older and less healthy he looked than when I had last seen him around 6 months ago. I was later told that he is running a marathon next week. At the age of 62 that is impressive and yet I couldn’t help feeling that this level of training is not as good for his health as it may be for his fitness.
We often talk about health and fitness in one breath, as if they are almost identical, but my experience on the treadmill and with the guy in the lobby showed me that they are absolutely distinct. You can be very healthy but not very fit and you can be very fit but not necessarily healthy.
So I started to question what levels of health and fitness I want for myself. I have noticed that when people go over a certain level of fitness it demands more energy and they often seem to drain their own batteries at this point. They start to look older, become prone to injury and have a somewhat strained look about them. On the other hand one of my most enjoyable experiences is being fit enough that my body feels like a well-oiled machine that is ready for anything – full of energy and potential.
However when it comes to health it is impossible to be too healthy. I believe our expectations of health will expand enormously in the future. In twenty to thirty years we will look back on this age with surprise that we were able to tolerate such a mediocre level of health as the norm.
In the meantime I have decided to achieve at least a bit better than average fitness and to keep on improving my health as much as possible. I am interested in longevity. I believe living a long life of high quality requires a lot more than that, but it definitely cannot be achieved without a reasonable level of fitness and excellent health.

Many people asked me what actually means Life Technology. We all have certain prejudice and we mainly think that technology have something to do with machines, computers, software, hardware etc. Its very hard for us to take life itself as technology. But it is, and its going to be the most important technology of 21st Century. Much more important than Formal Technology, how I call all man made technology, which will slowly lose value because it will be available everywhere and people will be more and more aware of its limitations.
More and more Life Technology will be introduced in those areas where Formal Technology has failed.
I will draw few parallels to show how Life Technology is sharing same principles as Formal Technology and it requires lots of skills if we want to create happy, rich and successful life:
Learn how to use it
Whenever you get certain piece of software or hardware you have to go through learning steps before you can use it easily. Life is same. We get born and we go to school with purpose to learn how to manage your life. You learn basic rules, and you are ready to go. But you are not finish there. During all your life you are forced to learn. Learn how to deal with relationships, marriage, kids, job, money, parents, friends and all other things involved with daily life. Better we learn how to deal with each aspect of life - better life we have. Some people refuse to learn and they get negative life results because they overdid certain things or simply didn't read instruction.
Service / maintenance
Everybody understand that if we don't bring our car to regular service at least every year or two that we could expect problems with it. How about life? Does life need service too? Sure does, and much more regular than car. The problem is that most of us are going for service after damage is made and than its much harder to repair it. Our life is much more valuable than car and we should take care of maintaining our life much more often.
Life updates
After we receive our new software usually after few weeks or months we get notification that the update is available. This update have bug fixes, and improved speed and functionality. If we want to keep our life always on top of the wave we have to know that our understanding of life needs constant updates. Something what was truth yesterdays doesn't mean it will be truth tomorrow. Something what was moral 200 years ago is very likely to be against the law today. Many people think that life rules are same few thousands years ago and now, but they are not. Few hundreds years ago the highest achievement in life was to have roof over the head, family and enough food to eat. In today's world for most of the people these are just raw basics. People want to travel, meet other people, enjoy and exchange experiences. Having piece of bread every day on the table will definitely not make you happy anymore.
Engineers & Developers / Teachers & Masters
If you have a broken computer and you are not very skillful in that area, you will have to bring that computer to local service where some technician will fix it for you. There are many areas in our life which are simply not fixable for us and you will need help from somebody to make it right. There are people in this world who simply knows more about life patterns and how to fix certain situations. Teachers and Masters are necessary in our life to be able to develop further. And this is not only during the school. We need guidance all our life.
Better quality materials
We saw technology developing from raw use of fire, steam, metal, oils and all the way to solar energy, nuclear and nano technology. Human nature is to search always for lighter, more durable and better performing materials. Life Technology requires also better materials to support development. Just hundreds years ago most of our ancestors were working very hard in the fields. This kind of activity required high consumption of energy and that's why people were eating much heavier food like red meat, drinking wine to boost energy and sleep quite a lot. In today's world where amount of physical work is much less we are forced to produce different types of food to support that. Our bodies are not build anymore to digest large masses of meat and alcohol. We sleep less and we are eating now more vegetables, fruits and grains and we even using different types of technology to make water lighter. The whole universe evolution is going towards being lighter and faster. People who are not able to adapt to this will very soon have quite hard time surviving normal life.
Importance of goal
Behind every technology there is a goal. We invented the car so we can move faster. We invented electricity so we can live more comfortable. We invented internet so we can communicate easier. How about life goal? If every piece of metal or plastic on this earth have his own goal how about our own life? Can we live happy and successful life without a goal?
The goal is the most important ingredient in our life. Forget about luck, money, parents background or anything else, the goal is the engine which keeps your life humming and can override any obstacle. Only by reaching your goal you can enjoy true happiness and inner peace. More higher goal you have, more life satisfaction you get. And don't forget. Once you reach you goal, there is another one waiting for you. Once you stop having a goal, your life stops.

A simple smile positively enhances all aspects of our life. Just try smiling now as you read this. At first you may have some resistance and thoughts of: “What will everyone think", "I'm going to look crazy!" We worry that people won't take us seriously when we smile, when actually the opposite is true. A smile makes us appear confident, friendly and happy with life, which are all very important for being successful. The trick however, is to smile even when there is nothing to smile about, what we call “fake it till you make it" this is really works. It can change your mood and bring you back from a bout of depression or sadness but it takes some awareness to do. It becomes easier to do the more one practises, the better one gets and your life can really change for good.
Look at celebrities, successful politicians and business people; they all have stunning professional smiles. The more teeth you can count in their smile, the more popular the person will be. Over 20 teeth on show is a winner! They may not always feel like smiling either, but they must. It's easy to criticise and say “oh but they are so false"but the thing is they just do it and then reap the benefits because they understand that their success depends on it.Smiling makes it easier to breath, as a clear airway is opened and we are able to take the fresh air directly through the throat, opening the lungs and down into the lower belly, this increases the amount of chi life energy we can take in, energising us. Then you are on the positive spiral upwards, as you then have more energy to smile and so on.
A smile is a natural health insurance, in that one more benefit is that it boosts the bodies natural immunity so someone who smiles a lot does not get sick so often and rarely catches cold or flu. That's something to smile about. The benefits to well being are phenomenal and range from lower blood pressure, reduced stress, to fewer accidents. When we bravely make a big grin, ear to ear, then all the endorphins, and the “feel good factor" hormones, like serotonin are released, making us healthier, happier, and more attractive. Just like being in love! Smiling is very catching and you will positively affect all those around you creating a bubble of happiness wherever you go, like a ray of sunshine.Another real perk is that smiling can take years off your face as it exercises the 80 or so muscles in the face, toning and lifting them back up to give you a light youthful appearance making us so much more attractive too
